Quebec Arenacross Series – Rivière-Du-Loup, Quebec, May 16th, 2010
The 30th anniversary of the Riviere Du Loup Arenacross was held this past Saturday night. Racers from all over the
world were in attendance and entertained the sold out crowd Saturday night. KTM Canada had great representation
there this weekend with 2008 CMRC MX2 Champion Eric Nye along with South African’s Kerim Fitz-Gerald. Both
riders were riding their new 2010 250 SX-F’s and got a great jump on the 2010 race season nailing down great
qualifying positions for the main event.
As the main event got underway it was Royal Distributing KTM Thor’s Eric Nye with help from Sports Plus
Enr.grabbing the holeshot and leading the race start to finish. It was the first time Kerim Fitz-Gerald had been to
Rivière-Du-Loup and he proved he is a legitimate podium threat indoors by grabbing the final spot on the podium and
finishing third. Kerim will be doing the Canadian Nationals this summer on a KTM Canada, Royal Distributing, TLD,
and RTR Performance 250 SX-F. KTM Dealer Sports Plus Enr. also supported Americans Vincent Blair and Dave
Genolfi on a KTM 250 SX-F’s. Genolfi had a successful first time Rivière-Du-Loup experience landing just off the
podium in 4th position. Blair had some great qualifying heats in the main eventually finishing inside the top 10 in 7th.
CMX ATV – Burnt River, Ontario May 16th, 2010
Royal Distributing Thor KTM rider Tyler Summer’s raced the CMX ATV round on the weekend and managed an
impressive showing taking home 2 holeshots and 2 1st place finishes in the PRO/Am class. It is Tyler’s first year in the
competitive Pro class and he will be racing the first round of the Ontario CMRC ATV series this upcoming weekend at
Burnt River, Ontario. Tyler rides a KTM 450 SX ATV.
OHSS Round 1 – Salmon Arm, British Columbia, May 16th, 2010
KTM Canada sponsored riders finished 1st and 2nd at the OHSS Off-road race this past weekend in British Columbia.
RTR Performance KTM rider Ryan Durkee continued his winning ways on the Western Off-road scene by claiming
another victory winning the OHSS round in Salmon Arm, B.C. Durkee raced his KTM 250 XC-F prepared by RTR
Performance based in Kamloops, B.C. He is also supported by TLD & KTM Canada. Joining Durkee on the podium
this weekend was KTM Vernon Motorsports Sponsored rider Kody Bykerk on his KTM 250 XC.
FMSQ Round 1 – Granby, Quebec May 16th – 17th, 2010
Endurocross Saturday results: Duroy racing KTM Jason Thomas finished first at his return to Quebec off-road racing.
Thomas also rode a great race on Sunday to take the win on his KTM Duroy prepared 2010 250 XC. Placing 4th in
the Extreme Cross Saturday was Fred Kolman’s Wheelsport Ltd. supported Scott Bowes. After the completion of
the Enduro on Sunday Fred Kolman’s Wheelsport Ltd.’s Bowes took 3rd overall. In the vet expert class Fred
Kolman’s Wheelsport Ltd.’s Jim Kolman grabbed a forth overall on the day.
Mini Pine Enduro – Ontario, May 16, 2010
Woody’s Cycles KTM riders had a great weekend at this weekend’s Mini Pine Enduro in Ontario. In the Expert Class
Mike Jonker took the win and fellow Woody’s Cycle rider Kenny Beach took 1st in the Intermediate class, while
Davey Beach placed 2nd in the Novice class.
Ontario CMRC Ontario Provincial – Port Perry, Ontario Sunday May 16th, 2010
Orange Motorsports KTM dealer rider Jeremy Medaglia was ready to race as the motos got underway at the Ontario
Provincial MX track in Port Perry, Ontario. The Orange Motorsports supported rider dominated the results sheets as
he swept all four moto wins in the PRO and Youth classes. His KTM 250 SX-F and 450 SX-F’s worked flawlessly
helping Medaglia take the checkered flag at the front of the pack.
Série Arenacross – Rivière-Du-Loup, Québec, 16 mai 2010
Le 30e anniversaire de l’arénacross de Rivière-du-Loup a eu lieu samedi soir dernier. Des coureurs de partout dans
le monde étaient présents et l’aréna était remplie à pleine capacité. KTM Canada a été très bien représenté à
l’événement, en autre par le champion 2008 de la série CMRC MX2, Eric Nye et également par le coureur sudafricain
Kerim Fitz-Gerald. Les deux ont roulé sur leur toute nouvelle KTM 250 SX-F 2010 et ont eu un excellent
départ pour la saison 2010 se qualifiant facilement pour la course principale.
Le coureur Sport Plus Enr. Royal Distributing KTM Thor Eric Nye a remporté le Holeshot et a mené la course du
début à la fin. Pour son baptême à Rivière-du-Loup, Kerim Fitz-Gerald est monté sur la 3e marche du podium.
Kerim va participer cet été à tous les nationaux sur une KTM 250 SX-F KTM Canada, Royal Distributing, TLD,
RTR Performance. Le concessionnaire KTM Sports Plus Enr. a également commandité les coureurs américains
Vincent Blair et Dave Genolfi qui roulaient sur une KTM 250 SX-F. Genolfi a vécu une belle expérience et a fini en
4e position. De son côté, Blair a eu d’excellents temps de qualification et a fini à l’intérieur du top 10 avec une 7e
position.
Série VTT CMX – Burnt River, Ontario, 16 mai 2010
Le coureur Royal Distributing Thor KTM Tyler Summer a participé a une course de la série CMX VTT la fin de
semaine dernière et a réussi à gagner 2 Holeshot et 2 premières positions dans la catégorie PRO/Am. C’est la
première année que Tyler course dans la catégorie Pro et il sera de la première course de la série VTT CMRC en
Ontario la fin de semaine prochaine à Burnt River. Tyler roule sur un KTM 450 SX VTT.
OHSS, Course 1 – Salmon Arm, Colombie-Britannique, 16 mai 2010
La fin de semaine dernière se tenait la course 1 de la série OHSS et les coureur KTM ont terminé sur les 2
premières marches du podium. Le coureur KTM RTR Performance Ryan Durkee a continué dans son élan de
victoire réclamant la 1ère position à Salmon Arm en Colombie-Britannique. Durkee roulait sur une KTM 250 XC-F
préparée par le concessionnaire KTM RTR Performance. Il est également commandité par TLD & KTM Canada.
Rejoingnant Durkee sur le podium, est le coureur du concessionnaire KTM Vernon Motorsports Kody Bykerk
avec sa KTM 250 XC 2010.
Série FMSQ, 1ère course – Granby, Québec, 16 et 17 mai 2010
Le coureur Duroy Racing KTM Jason Thomas a célébré son retour à la course hors route du Québec en finissant
1er à l’extrême cross samedi à Granby. Thomas a également eu une course parfaite dimanche prenant la 1ère
position sur sa KTM 250 XC Duroy Racing. Le coureur du concessionnaire KTM Fred Kolman’s Wheelsport Ltd.,
Scott Bowes a de son côté pris la 4e place à l’extrême cross. Pour la course dimanche, Bowes a fini en 3e position.
Dans la catégorie vet expert, Jim Kolman de Fred Kolman’s Wheelsport Ltd. a été chercher la 4e place pour la
journée.
Mini Pine Enduro – Ontario, 16 mai 2010
Les coureurs du concessionnaire KTM Woody’s Cycles ont eu une fin de semaine satisfaisante à la course Mini
Pine Enduro en Ontario. Dans la catégorie expert, Mike Jonker a pris la 1ère position pendant que Kenny Beach
finissait 1er dans la classe Intermédiaire et que Davey Beach se plaçait 2e chez les Novices.
Série provinciale CMRC de l’Ontario – Port Perry, Ontario, 16 mai 2010
Le coureur Orange Motorsports KTM Jeremy Medaglia était ‘’Ready to Race’’ dès le départ à la piste de
motocross à Port Perry en Ontario. Medaglia a dominé du début à la fin remportant ses 4 courses dans les
catégories Pro et Youth. Sa KTM 250 SX-F et sa KTM 450 SX-F l’ont aidé à passer le drapeau à damier en 1ère
position.
